Assigned high recognition to The Executive Director of the First Children’s Embassy in the World Megjashi, Mr. Dragi Zmijanac-“ Angel of the year 2008”
On 28th January 2008 year, for the ninth time in the Theatre „Dal Verme” in Milano, was held the manifestation “Angel of the year” organised by the Red Cross Italy – Regional Committy of Lombardy and the Ethic center “Coin for peace”.

The Children’s Embassy – MEGJASHI became a part of the big family of European Children’s Network-EURONET
On 13th December 2007 year the First Children’s Embassy in the World – Megjasi became a part of the big family of European Children’s Network-EURONET as an associate member.

19th November World Day for Prevention of Child Abuse; 20th November Universal Children’s Day
The First Children’s Embassy in the World – Megjashi reminds about two important dates for respecting of children’s right in the world.  19th November is World Day for Prevention of Child Abuse, and the 20th November is Universal Children’s Day.

Common initiative for non-discrimination “Different, but equal”
2007 is announced as a European year for equal opportunities for all, one day before the Human Rights Day–10th December, more civil association and among others The First Children’s Embassy in the World Megjashi, held press conference where the common initiative for non-discrimination “Different, but equal”

Report of the Free legal service for 2007 year
In 2007 year the legal service of The First Children’s Embassy in the World megjashi reacted in 63 cases in which the children’s rights were violated. In 38 cases were sent requests, in 22 cases petitions and in 3 cases is given legal opinion and help to the clients. The requests are usually sent to Centers for social work, for cases in which the custody of the children was arguable and was not considered the best interest of the children, then for family violence upon the children, child’s labour abuse, obstruction of the right to see one of the parents.

Introducing the institution – Represent in the UN Secretary- General in order to fight against violence upon children
The First Children’s Embassy in the World – Megjashi informs that the General Parliament on the UN, on Tuesday 22.11.2007, made a decision to introduce the institution Representative in the UN General secretary in order to fight against violence upon children, whose task is to point out all the forms of violence upon children and to demand their removal.

Reaction to the case of sexual abuse of eight year old girl
Concerning the case of above mentioned sexual abuse of a child, The First Children’s Embassy in the World-Megjashi demands most rigorous punishment for the abuser and for the parent of the abused girl (and her brother and sister) for the criminal act sexual abuse, trafficking with minors and for pimping for accomplishing financial gain. 

Report on the work of the SOS line for children and youth at FCEW - Megjashi from 01.01.2007 to 31.12.2007
The SOS line for children and youth (080012222) which operates within the frames of the First Children’s Embassy in the World - Megjashi is the first free helpline for children and youth in the country which has been working continuously for 15 years.

Daily Centre for children on street
The Daily Centre for Children on Street has been active in the past few months (October 2007 – January 2008). From the 35 registered children in the Centre, there are 20 regular children coming. They are aged between 5-14 years and they come from the so called "Carton Neigbourhood" in Novo Lisice and Klanica in the suburb Aerodrom. Here, in the Daily Centre the children receive snack, clean clothes, take baths and visit workshops.

Did you tell your child how much you love him/her?”.
The First Children’s Embassy in the World-Megjashi continues with the last year’s campaign for more love and attention towards the children, but now with the motto “Did you tell you child how much you love him/her?”.

Regional meeting of NGOs which do monitoring on the implemantation of The Convention for Children’s Rights
In the period between 10-12 of January in 2008, in Milocer, Montenegro, a Regional meeting was held of the NGOs from Macedonia, Servia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Cration and Kosovo, where participatns were Dragi Zmijanac, Executive Director and Founder of The First Children’s Embassy in the World, and Voskre Naumoska, Progaram Assitent.

Study visit in Slovakia
The Executive Director of the First Childern’s Embassy Megjashi, Mr. Dragi Zmijanac, participated in the study visit in Slovakia, which took place from 4th to 10th November 2007 year, by CIRa within the frameworks of the Project for strenghtening the civil society in Macedonia, financed by USAID.

On November 26th, the Executive Director of The First Children’s Embassy in the World- Megjashi, Mr. Dragi Zmijanac and Mirjana Shokarevska, President of the Single parents association, had a meeting with the Minister of Defense, Lazar Elenovski.

Promotion of the Low on Donation and Sponsorships for Publick Activities and other Tax Laws
In order to establish effective usage of Low on Donation and Sponsorships for Publick Activities and other Tax Laws ,
and also an opportunity for support of the activities by the civil organizations whish have public interest, consulting meetings were organized in Tetovo, Ohrid, Strumica, Gevgelija, Debar, Struga, Prilep, Bitola and Skopje. At the same time, Low on Donation and Sponsorships for Publick Activities and other Tax Laws
, was presented, as well as its complete implementation, the question with common interest were discussed, and also the importance of Philanthropy development in Republic of Macedonia.

Working sessions between civil organizations and business sector
The First Children’s Embassy in the World – Megjashi, in cooperation with The Center for Institutional Development – CIRa, realized the activity “Cooperation with the business sector”, which main goal was creating effective cooperation between the civil and the business sector.

6-th NGO fair
In the period 16-17th of November, in Skopje, the 6-th NGO fair was organized. The First Children’s Embassy – Megjashi participated in this fair in several events, such as the promotion of the first edition of the Positive Examples of Civil society in Macedonia, and The Guide for Volunteerism, editions which were published in the framework of the project “Support of the National Civil Forum/ Platform”.  

Child-witness WHO DEMANDS SPECIAL CARE
In the period November -February, the actvities about the project “Child-witness with special needs” continued. An adaptations of the poster “Your Honour, I’m scared” and the booklet “ I am going to court” were made and their printing is expected untill the end of March. The poster and the booklet are to be distributed to the courts and the police stations, becouse there are to be use by the profecional workers who work with children as witnesses.

Training for experts-judges who interwiev children witnesses
During 8th-10th Februar 2008 in Ohrid, the First Children’s Embassy in the World - Megjashi organised a training on the theme “Child abuse – details about the interiew, recognising and approach in the justice practice” in the project frame “The child-a witness who needs special care”.

New Year’s cards
For three years the First Children’s Embassy in the World – Megjashi works out New Year cards. This year the New Year cards were in seven motives, the first four motives were double and cost 25,00 denars with an envelope and the other three motives were single and cost 10,00 denars without envelope.

Cooperation between Megjashi and Genel continues – for each bought cannon product, 1 Euro for Megjashi’s activities
The Trade Association for Manufacturing, Services and Sales “GENEL Filip” DOOEL Skopje and the First Children’s Embassy in the World – Megjashi in July signed Agreement for donation of public interest.

Gathering assets from domestic sources for support on the Daily Centre for Children on the Streets
The Children’s Embassy has placed cash boxes for donation from the citizens through whole Macedonia. The newest is that there are 20 new cash boxes, which are provided through the project “Gathering assets for work on the Daily Centre for Children od the Streets” in collaboration with CIRa, financed by USAID.

Santa Claus gave New Year’s gifts to 484 children

Bolton’s fans donated again for Macedonian children
The Charity action, which Bolton Wanderer’s fans have organized in September, during their stay in Macedonia for the football match with Rabotnicki, continued in England too.

Donation of chocolates by Vitaminka
Holding Company Vitaminka from Prilep, supported the activities of The First Children’s Embassy in the World at the 6-th NGO Fair by donating 10 000 chocolates. The chocolates had a segment which had not only the information of Vitaminka but also the logo of The First Children’s Embassy in the World and the free SOS helpline for children and youth 0800 1 2222.

6.121 shampoo bottles provided for the children in the children homes and other institutions
The First Children’s Embassy in the World – Megjasi in cooperation with Nelt ST Procter and Gamble on 14th February (Thursday) organised action for giving 6.121 shampoo bottles. The shampoo bottles were given to:

Charity action in the Action Park
The First Children’s Embassy in the World – Megjashi in cooperation with the Action Park, realized a charity action for the children from the Children’s Workshops and the Daily Centre for street children, during the NGO fair, which was held 16-17 of November 2007.
