CHILDREN’S WORKSHOPSThe beginning of the 2007/2008 school year was also when the children’s workshops started functioning. The workshops are an opportunity for children of different nationalities and economical and social status to develop their creativity and fantasy. They are realized through socializing and various activities according to children’s interests, using the necessary funds for their accomplishment.  

Besides the activities in the workshops all children members of  Children`s Workshops have the opportunity to participate in the following activities:

Coordinated by the art workshop, all children-members took part in two major art events for preparation of their New Year greeting cards.

The first event was titled Cosmofon and the children from Megjashi drawing New Year greeting cards. The drawings participate in the contest for the best New Year greeting card which Cosmofon will send to its partners and uses on the New Year’s holidays, and the drawings will also participate in the New Year’s exhibition in Cosmofon’s facilities.

The second event was titled Children from Megashi drawing New Year greeting cards. The best drawings were selected for printing of New Year cards. The cards and the self-sustainability and promoting service, another part of Megashi, contribute to the self-financing and sustainability of the children’s workshops and SOS line for children and youth.
 
 In cooperation with the local communities, this time the municipality Gorce Petrov, we visited three children daycare centers located in the municipality and held origami workshops. 90 children between the age of 4 and 6 and 12 educators participated in the realization of the action. The Origami workshops were taught by Julijan Kasovski, origami master.

On October 9th, Julijan Kasovski - origami master, Krasimir Trajkovski – filatelist, Tatjana Janevska - the coordinator of the Children’s Workshops, together with other 13 children-members of the workshops were guests on the educative show ZVON at the Macedonian Television. This event was related to the previous Children’s Week and 9th October Mail Day. We participated with contents from the origami, applied arts and literary-drama-bon ton workshops, with drawings, songs, and items made during Children’s Week on the topic of children rights.

On October 16th, on their own initiative, 25 children members of the English language workshop held on Tuesdays, together with their parents visited the American Corner on the occasion of the Day of Playing Children’s Videos. On October 31st, 6 children attended the Halloween party at the American Corner.
