Even 69 percent of children in Macedonia are victims of physical and psychological violence, says a new report by UNICEF, respect for the rights of children worldwide.
 
Macedonian children are more exposed to violence than their peers in Albania, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The survey found that beating remains one of the main educational measures used by parents because every second child aged two to 14 years is physically punished, although only seven percent of parents and guardians said that beating is a useful method for the education of young.

-- It is impossible to measure de real scope of violence against children because many things are happening in secret, at home, at school, community and institutions, and often by just the adults that are supposed to protect - says Sheldon UNICEF Representative in Macedonia.
