Pan-Europe and Maghreb Regional Conference

In July 2007, the first European-Maghreb Conference for child labor took place. It was decided that the Global March (whose national coordinator for Macedonia is the First Children’s Embassy in the World - Megjashi) needed urgent action and mobilization in this region. From 16 -18 September this year, the second conference was organized with 22 organizations from 16 countries from the region as participants, debating on the issue of strategic goals set on the previous conference. All representatives agreed for the new Pan-European-Maghreb Regional Organization at the Global March to be announced as launched and to include 51 countries from the International Organization of Labor - the European Region and the three Maghreb countries (Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia).

The First Children’s Embassy in the World - Megjashi was represented by Mrs. Gordana Pirkovska Zmijanac, founder and program manager, who was also chosen for a member of the Committee of the new Pan-European-Maghreb Regional Organization with its headquarters in Brussels.
