INTERVIWING CHILDREN WITNESSES IN A POLICE PROCEDUREThe First Children’s Embassy in the World – Megjashi on 25th and 27th March 2008 organized one day’s workshops on theme “Interviewing children witnesses in the police procedure”. The workshops are part of the activities in the framework of the project “The child-witness who needs special care” that is carrying out in the frame of the Regional program “Childhood without violence –toward a better system of child protection in the East Europe”. For the enforcement of this project, the Children’s Embassy has already established collaboration with the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Republic of Macedonia whereupon the logo of the Ministry is on the poster “Respected court, I am afraid” and on the book “I am going to court” and in collaboration with them the posters are distributed to all police stations in Macedonia.

 

The workshops were guided by Mrs. Cena Chalovska, main inspector for the juvenile delinquency in SVR-Skopje, and were conducted in the premises of the First Children’s Embassy in the World-Megjashi.

 

The aim of the workshops is to acquire knowledge about the techniques, methods and new approaches in interviewing children witnesses as well as to exchange experience and discussion about the problem.
